Canada is world known for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police – well these guys aren’t them. These guys are the Lord Strathcona Mounted Troops. Anyway, we were very lucky to have them visit our small town today to help us celebrate the Fair and Rodeo.

Yep, you just click on the photo and it loads an enlarged version.
Did you post that as an attachment then or what?
Also, as they're still "mounted troops", is it still okay to call them "mounties"?

Yes, I did an attachement - I am trying to try out all the new features.
Not sure if you can call them mounties or not, people might be disappointed as the real RCMP Musical Ride have black horses. These are more like an old army troop that never got a budget increase since 1884.
I went to the Fair and Rodeo with my 14 year old but she refused to get out of the car so I came home with her. She did go to the parade with me and also stayed in the car for most of it but got out for the 8 minutes of the actual parade. Hopefully I will be able to drag my husband there tomorrow. I'm not keen on rodeo (just annoying animals really) but I would like to see the dancing horsies*.

I actually think that, as this is a Beau Peep forum, we should use the term "horsies".

Don't be silly. The horsies are what the mounties are sitting on.
Also, the chap on the right looks to be going the wrong way. He's going to cut right across the front of the rest of them. Somebody should let them know - there could be a terrible accident.
